Join us as Darlington College holds its second bite sized edition EdTech Festival, a free online event designed to support educators in bringing technology into every aspect of their professional development as the ‘new normal’ for the delivery of education emerges.
This is fantastic opportunity to hear from industry experts at Darlington College, with CPD activities and demonstrations of EdTech in action.
Together we will examine the challenges ahead and examine the shape of things to come.

Bring your EdTech questions and Wayne (Google and Microsoft Certified trainer) will try to answer them.
10AM: Daria Smolak – Staying healthy online
It has never been more important to maintain our physical and mental health, Daria, Digital Learning Coach, will discuss methods to keep ourselves in check.
11AM: Josh Spears – Using Google Tour Creator and Google Earth to create engaging lessons
Josh, English teacher and staff coach will show how these tools, using cutting edge, technology lets students explore and learn about sites and wonders across the globe.
12PM Wayne Hall – Top 25 Google tips
Wanting to get the most from Google Workspace for Education? Then come along hear the top tips and add your own.
1PM: Jamie Pearson – Thinglink and Flipgrid
Jamie Pearson, a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Training, will look at how these two innovative tools can be used to build engagement amongst the hardest to reach of learners.
2PM: Denise Benvin – Teaching with Kami
Denise Benvin, Senior Lecturer in accounting, will demonstrate how Kami is used to teach mathematic and finance fundamentals
3PM: Wayne Hall – Top 25 Teams tips
