Our Media team teach a mixture of creative and technical skills. Games Design is a growing industry, and we cater to both the technical programmers and the creative artists. Our facilities are superb, with high-end hardware used in conjunction with industry standard software such as 3D level design packages and games engines, and you will be able to use our virtual reality development kits in our games testing labs. Our TV and film course features a Film Academy that uses industry standard equipment and software designed to give a professional level of understanding and experience in each major technical role within film production. Our Creative Media groups have worked on many live-projects in the past, including working with the Durham Constabulary, Darlington Football Club and Darlington Borough Council.
Our Journalism courses are always changing and developing to match the ever-growing world that we live in. These courses are designed to take students, post GCSEs, through to their first jobs in the media industry. Our NCTJ course is nationally recognised as an essential qualification for a Journalist to achieve. Our courses include a high level of work experience, including working on news patches with local papers such as The Northern Echo. The teaching team all have vast experience in their field and can pass on much-needed mentorship which will be key to your success in journalism and publishing.
