Will I pay fees for my study?
Skills and qualifications can help to open up new opportunities for work, so you will reap the benefits in the long term. Remission of fees usually applies to vocational further education courses. Non vocational leisure courses, short courses and Higher Education courses do not qualify for fee remission. Details of course fees can be found on the individual course pages via our course search.
You will be required to pay your fees at the point of enrolment or you will be asked to provide proof of employer sponsorship, which may include a letter or purchase order number.
Free Vocational Courses for Student who are 16-18 years. If you are aged 16-18 years old on 31st August, no fees will apply to your full time study programme.
Your learning could be free if you meet certain qualifying criteria
- If you are unemployed
- you are in receipt of state benefits such as Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) Employment Support Allowance (ESA) or in the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG) or receive Universal Credits – you must be aged 19 or over and applying for a course up to Level 2.
- You enrol on a full Level 2 qualification, aged 19-23 (as at 31/08/22) and don’t already hold a full Level 2 qualification or higher.
- You enrol on a full Level 3 qualification aged 19-23 (as of 31/08/22) and don’t hold a full Level 3 qualification or higher.
Alternatively, if you do not qualify for fee remission you can set up a payment plan. This will allow you to to pay 75% of course costs in monthly instalments after a 25% up front payment at enrolment.
