What do you enjoy about your course?
I enjoy learning new cooking skills and the ability to make a variety of different dishes. I have also had the opportunity to enter the Inter-College Cookery competition April 2014 and was delighted to be awarded the runner-up prize.
What attracted you to Darlington College?
I was attracted by the good reputation of the catering department at the college.
What are your career aspirations?
I hope to become a top chef and eventually own my own restaurant.
What is the next step in your education?
I am currently studying Professional Cookery Level 3.
How will this course prepare you for your next step?
I’ve learnt a lot of new cookery skills which will assist me in my next course and I’ve learnt to become more adaptable.
What advice would you give to other students?
You need to be prepared to work hard to gain your qualifications.
